The Be Sickle Smart program helps raise awareness about a serious health issue for people living with transfusions and sickle cell disease: iron overload. Take home a free Be Sickle Smart tool kit and meet Dr. Ian Smith. If you live in one of the surrounding area get in touch with Terrie Cammarata or your local Sickle Cell Disease Association of America chapter, who will provide free roundtrip transportation to these events.
